Affiliate Disclosure
Please read this disclosure carefully. It explains our commercial relationship with Argos and other retailers, and how this may affect the content you see on this website.
1. What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a tracked hyperlink that allows a retailer to identify that a visitor came from our website. When you click such a link and complete a qualifying purchase, we receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is not affected — you pay exactly the same as if you had navigated to the retailer's website directly.
On IndianMalls, affiliate links to Argos are identified by:
- Tracking parameters appended to the URL, for example:
https://www.argos.co.uk/...?aff_id=indianmalls&utm_source=indianmalls&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=indianmalls_uk - The attribute
rel="sponsored"in the HTML link element - An adjacent note or label indicating an affiliate relationship near product buttons
2. Our affiliate relationship with Argos
IndianMalls participates in an affiliate marketing programme with Argos Limited ("Argos"), a major UK retail chain. Under this programme:
- We include tracked links to product pages on argos.co.uk
- If you click a link and complete a qualifying sale on argos.co.uk within the attribution window, Argos reports that sale to us and we receive a commission
- The commission rate varies by product category and is determined solely by Argos
- We do not control or have access to your personal purchase data; we only receive aggregate or anonymised sales reports
IndianMalls is an independent publisher. We are not owned by, employed by, or officially endorsed by Argos Limited. "Argos" is a trademark of Argos Limited.
3. How commissions may affect our content
We do, however, acknowledge the following:
- Product selection: we prioritise reviewing products available at Argos, as this is our primary affiliate partner. Products not available at Argos may receive less coverage.
- Link placement: product links are placed throughout pages to make it easy for readers to purchase. These links are always affiliate links when pointing to argos.co.uk.
- Advertorial content: some pages are produced as sponsored editorial (advertorial) content. These pages are clearly labelled with an "Advertorial" banner at the top and are written to the same editorial standards as non-sponsored content.
4. Qualifying sales
A "qualifying sale" is a completed purchase made on argos.co.uk within the cookie/attribution window after clicking one of our affiliate links. The following typically do not qualify:
- Purchases where the cookie has expired before checkout
- Returned or cancelled orders
- Purchases where a different affiliate's link was clicked after ours (last-click attribution)
We have no control over Argos' attribution rules and cannot guarantee a commission on every purchase.
5. ASA & CAP Code compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code, which require clear identification of advertising and commercially motivated content.
We believe our audience has a right to know when content is commercially motivated. Our disclosures appear:
- In the coloured banner at the top of every page on this website
- Adjacent to affiliate links and product buttons where applicable
- In our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
6. Other affiliate relationships
IndianMalls may from time to time include links to other retailers or services. Any such links that carry an affiliate relationship will be identified in the same way as Argos links (tracking parameters, rel="sponsored"). We will update this page if we enter into new affiliate programmes.
